Deze vloeistof is erg vergelijkbaar met ringerlactaat en zal dus gebruikt kunnen worden als correctievloeistof, stortinfuus ed. Het verschil is dat er in plaats van lactaat acetaat in zit, waardoor deze vloeistof i.t.t. ringerlactaat ook gebruik kan worden bij leverpatiënten.
